Pure flamenco in Barcelona: A show devised to keep the tradition of the most authentic flamenco alive.

The Tablao de Carmen, created in 1988 as a tribute to the great flamenco dancer, Carmen Amaya, is renowned for offering top quality shows based on the purest flamenco traditions. The show, which lasts 75 minutes, always includes the participation of well-known artists, accompanied by promising young artists for whom the tablaos have historically served as an artistic school and a springboard to fame. The show dynamically presents many of the most important strains of flamenco so that the audience can discover the wealth and variety of this musical art.

One of the added attractions of Tablao de Carmen is its location, as it is located within Poble Espanyol de Montjuïc. This “Spanish Village of Montjuïc” built in 1929 for the Barcelona World Exhibition was designed as a showcase of the wealth and variety of Spanish architecture, with replicas of the most representative buildings of each Spanish autonomous community. Tablao de Carmen is located within its Andalusian quarter (Barrio Andaluz), on a typically Andalusian street which enables the visitor to get a feel for the authentic flamenco atmosphere.

2nd SHOW:

Restaurant opens at 9.15 PM

Show from 10 PM to 11 PM

Free entrance to Poble Espanyol from 8.15 PM
